It is with the deepest regret and sadness that we have to announce that FirstLight Trust has ceased trading.

The group had a wonderful time together, laughing working together and creating something fun for the Christmas season. οΏΌπŸŽ„

The veterans have a a great time planning and working on their master pieces.

National Activity Coordinator Riah would like to say a massive well done to all her veterans cookery group, over the year the group have excelled not only learning new recipes but building long lasting friends, οΏΌit’s been a busy time planning and working toward this event and they have all been creative and put so much effort in while learning along the way. What a great way to welcome Christmas in.

πŸ“£πŸ˜ƒ This time last week the veterans had a great time at Elson Junior School for their Remembrance Assembly followed by tea and cake in the music room.

Miss Hull and Elson Heroes put together an fantastic services for all the school, the afternoon was spent together remembering those who are no longer with us and thanking those who are still currently servicing. Veteran Alan loved his giant poppy the children had made him.

The connection this group have is just wonderful to see and we look forward to our Christmas decorating session at the hub in a couple of weeks.

Helping veterans get back on their feet

A Gosport cafe and charity hub, we’re open to the public and veterans alike on the High Street in the centre of this coastal town. We offer delicious coffee at a reasonable price, teas, soft drinks and tasty home-made treats. Our suppliers include Yorkshire Tea, Teapigs and Redemption Roasters.

We’re dog-friendly and Wifi-free. There’s no background music playing in the background as we want to encourage chatting. All monies raised go towards helping former emergency service and armed forces personnel back on their feet. Comfy seats and board games await. We look forward to seeing you!
