Last month we donated £100 to Life Education.

Local charity SCARF Life Education Wessex & Thames Valley is a Delivery Partner of the UK’s leading health, drug and emotional wellbeing education programme, Coram SCARF. We help to effectively communicate healthy lifestyle messages and empower children aged 3-11 with the knowledge, skills and self-confidence to make positive healthy decisions and stay safe in schools across:

Wessex - Devon & Cornwall, Dorset, Hampshire, Isle of Wight, and Somerset
Thames Valley - Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire and East Swindon

Some of our members were able to see first hand how Life Education are benefitting our children here on Portland.

This year, Portland Rotary Club funded two successful applicants to attend the Rotary Youth Leadership Awards residential camp. This was an opportunity for two young islanders to learn and extend their leadership skills.
