We are aware of posts circulating regarding a previous member of staff at Porthcawl YMCA. We would like to assure our service users that as a charity we were unaware of the issues pertaining to the ex-employee.
All parents of children in the after school club will be sent a statement concerning the facts, one of which we had no knowledge of the issue or the investigation or contact from the police prior to the court appearance. The ex-employee pleaded guilty and was remanded in custody immediately. At which point her employment was terminated with Porthcawl YMCA.
