Monthly Disco for young people age 10-14 to socialise and boogie with friends. Spaces are limited to 35 young persons per session.

Please use our booking system to ensure your young person/s has/have a space each week. Please put your young person/s name/s in the Additional Notes box please when booking. You will have to book a space for your young person/s each week, as spaces are on a first come first served basis. Please wait to receive a text from The Box confirming your booking.

The Box

What is The Box?

Ø A drop-in venue for young people who attend senior school (age 11-16)

Ø A safe environment for young people to meet up with friends

Ø Led by the young people in what goes on (snooker table, play music, sports, etc)

Ø Non-profit making where funds raised by entrant fees and fundraising goes directly back to The Box

Ø Run by Staff Volunteers from the community

We suggest and encourage the young people who attend The Box to “give back” to the community by helping with beach cleans, packing shopping, gardening, window cleaning, etc.

We plan to bring in companies that can offer courses to children, i.e., football referring course (where the young people can earn money once trained), angling, sporting events and can organise courses such as lifestyle education, saying no to drugs, etc, if the young people wish. Suggestions are welcome.
