Port Talbot Sea Cadets is recruiting enthusiastic and supportive adult volunteers to help inspire and guide local young people aged 9-18.
You don’t need a naval background – just energy, reliability, and a willingness to get involved. Whether you can spare a few hours a week or more, there’s a role for you!

At Port Talbot Sea Cadets, we help young people build confidence, teamwork skills, and leadership abilities through exciting activities such as:
• Sailing and watersports
• First aid and practical skills
• Duke of Edinburgh’s Award
• Drill, ceremonial events, and community activities
• STEM and engineering opportunities
As a volunteer, you’ll:
• Make a real difference in young people’s lives
• Learn new skills (with full training provided)
• Become part of a friendly and supportive team

👥 Who We’re Looking For
We welcome adults from all backgrounds and experience levels. Roles include:
• Uniformed instructors
• Civilian instructors
• Trustees and committee members
• Occasional helpers and event supporters
No previous experience is necessary – just commitment and a positive attitude. All volunteers receive training and are supported every step of the way.
