For 14 years, Park House has been so much more than just a place of work. We have poured our hearts, time and dedication into this place, through the highs, the lows, the challenges and the moments that made it all worthwhile. We are incredibly proud of the work we have produced, the lives we have touched and the memories we have created along the way. There is so much history, love and dedication within these walls, and closing this chapter is undoubtedly bittersweet. While we are sad to say goodbye to the last 14 years, we are also excited to see what the next chapter brings. Here’s to everything we’ve achieved, everyone who has been part of the journey, and to a new beginning for Park House. ⭐️❤️

We also want to thank the commissioning and social services teams in Neath Port Talbot County Council for their commitment in keeping any disruptions to the service to an absolute minimum during the transition process. Their teams have worked tirelessly to ensure our systems and processes are kept in place and the team have been supported. We couldn’t have done this without their full cooperation and understanding.

From 1st September, Park House will no longer be part of Action for Children and will become part of Neath Port Talbot County Borough Council.

Welcome to Friendly Face Friday!

Every Friday, we'll be introducing a different member of staff so you can get to know the people supporting and caring for your children a little better — and learn more about the team behind Park House.

This week we have Roxy, one of our Residential support workers

🌻✨🍹💛 🌻✨🍹💛 🌻✨🍹💛 🌻✨🍹💛

Hello I'm Roxy. I've been working as a residential support worker here at Park House for nearly two years and I really enjoy it here. I love working directly with the children and doing so many different activities with them. I love getting to know all the children and watching them grow, achieve goals and try new things. It's always a favorite when we go out and about in the community as well!

Outside of work I am kept very busy with my three children Hallie, Harry and Henley as well as two very busy dogs Milo and Whiskey. We are always out and about doing something, whether it be long walks, days down the beach or weekends away!

I always enjoy a rare child free night with my partner where we tend to opt for a few cheeky cocktails, good food, music and a dance 🍹🍸🍷

I also really enjoy playing rounders and I'm part of a couple of teams! It's really fun although I'll be the first to admit I hate running 🤣⚾

Hi my name is Emma and I have worked in Park House since the doors opened in August 2012. I like the variety of Park House, no 2 days are the same., expect the unexpected! I enjoy getting to know each individual child/ young person and building a bond. Ever smile, high 5 or thumbs up that are given to me I feel happy/ accepted which means so much to me. I have been part of individuals start, progress and end of their Park House journey. Thank you.

Outside of work I enjoy my holidays, the others in the team check if I have been to where they are holidaying ! I enjoy socialising, exploring historical sites and landscapes and I love the theatre and cinema.

This week we have Natalie, one of our residential support worker

🐈‍⬛🍝🌷☀️ 🐈‍⬛🍝🌷☀️ 🐈‍⬛🍝🌷☀️ 🐈‍⬛🍝🌷☀️🐈‍⬛

My name is Natalie and I have worked at Park house since the opening. I enjoy my role as a children residential worker because I can make a real difference in young people's lives. Supporting them through challenges, helping them build confidence, and seeing their progress over time is incredible rewarding. Every day brings something new, and being able to provide a safe, caring and positive environment gives a strong sense of purpose and fulfilment.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time walking, which helps me relax and clear my mind. I also like eating out and trying different places, as it gives me something to look forward to and enjoy with others. I am very fond of animals and love spending time with pets, which brings me comfort and happiness in my personal time
