Yesterday, our crew members Kim, Matt and Sam took part in Parish Walk in full RNLI inshore lifeboat kit in memory of Tony.
That meant walking 19 miles in RNLI-issued drysuits with integrated steel toe and sole wellies, life jackets, and helmets (although the helmets didn’t last long once the sun came out!). Altogether, the kit weighed around 10kg.
It was far harder than any of us expected, and we’re definitely feeling worse for wear today, but it was a challenge we were proud to take on.
So far, we’ve raised an incredible £1,660, which puts us at 66% of our fundraising target. A huge thank you to everyone who has donated and supported us.
Thank you to everyone who came out to support us on the day (especially Ditte & Tom!) for your kind donations and for helping us honour Tony’s memory and support a cause that means so much to us.
There’s still time to donate, and every penny will go towards supporting the lifesaving work of Port Erin RNLI Lifeboat. Please find the link in our bio and in the comments below 🧡🧡
