All set for tomorrow. The mile fun run starts 3:30pm. See you there πŸƒβ€β™‚οΈπŸƒβ€β™€οΈ

The runners are getting ready. The starting blocks are getting positioned. The course is fair to firm with semi level ground (in some parts).

Starting from the far end of the football pitch we begin past the crowds and gathered bar staff. Up past Archie's shed we go. The course goes anticlockwise around the pitch and putt, working you're way into the middle. You go up hill 3 times (in the order shown in picture) and then get to enjoy the descent down past Archie's shed and the baying crowds around the bar that will be at fever pitch as you make your final dash along 3 quarters of the football pitch.
And you've completed the Mile.

Remember to wear your running shoes this Saturday and take part in the mile race! Frazer made this return last year after it being an old Port Ellen Sports tradition, he puts a lot of effort into this race and it's sponsored by Campbell's Shop πŸ™ŒπŸ»

This Saturday is Port Ellen Sport's day. As usual we will close at 1.00pm (the deli counter closes at 1230) and the shop will reopen at 6.00pm.

Make sure you get along and we highly recommend enjoying the Mile race from a viewpoint around the Pitch and Putt, the "Take Some Breathing Space" seat will have a great view of all the smiles on faces.
