🍰 Thank you to everyone who attended our afternoon tea yesterday at the Genesis Centre. It was a lovely relaxed afternoon with scones, cakes and sandwiches, quizzes and a raffle. Our generous thanks to all who helped behind the scenes and on the day 🩷
As part of a month long commitment to raise awareness for Routes to Roots and Tickled Pink, we raised £268 at the afternoon tea. Asda’s community champion Vikki and Routes to Roots Tracy continue to raise for both great causes throughout October.

It has been our absolute pleasure to have spent the last year being Vivamente Voice's charity of the year. Throughout the year they have supported Routes to Roots in many ways with concerts, quizzes, coffee mornings, raffles, events, clothing and sock donations - not to mention the incredible cakes Tina makes! Thank you Vivamente, you are forever in our hearts 💛💛💛

First Dip of 31 done last night and honestly, it was lovely... once we were actually in over our shoulders! The weather was kind to us which made all the difference. We had support too - thank you to friends and family who came along to laugh/cheer us on and to those who dipped elsewhere in solidarity. We will be at Hamworthy beach at 6pm this evening if anyone else would like to join us later on. Yesterday, I had the pleasure of visiting United Church Ferndown, where I was invited to give a brief talk during their service about the work we do at Routes to Roots.

I was given such a warm welcome by Rev. Melanie Pike, Rev. Darren Pike and the whole congregation, and I’m incredibly grateful for their kindness and support.

A special thank you goes to Martyna, who has kindly orchestrated the donation of so many coats over recent months. I’d also like to thank the children who created wonderful drawings and handmade cards for our service users, filled with such lovely messages of hope and love. Their thoughtfulness means a great deal to us and to the people we support.

Thank you all for your generosity, compassion and continued support of Routes to Roots. 💗

🎉 40 years of making a difference... and we're so grateful to be part of the celebrations!

A huge thank you to the amazing team at Specsavers Poole for choosing to support Routes to Roots as part of their 40th anniversary celebrations this week. It was wonderful to meet with the team today and celebrate not only this incredible milestone, but also the fantastic partnership we've built.

Specsavers has been a fantastic supporter of Routes to Roots, helping to create life-changing opportunities for people experiencing homelessness by providing access to free eye and hearing care. Their kindness, generosity and commitment continue to make a real difference to the people we support.

There's still time to get involved too! If you're visiting the store this week, why not buy a raffle ticket or make a donation? Every pound raised will help us continue supporting people facing homelessness across our community.

Thank you again to everyone at Specsavers Poole for including us in your special anniversary celebrations and here's to many more years of working together. 💚
