Set in 350 acres of tranquil Dorset countryside, the college supports students aged 16-25+ with barriers to learning and disabilities to access a range of work-based opportunities and enrichment through its enterprise curriculum.

As part of our animal care programme, we have a variety of rescued animals, that enable our animal care curriculum. Learning all aspects of care, behaviour, general husbandry and benefitting from animal therapy too.

Needing a little Christmas gifting inspiration for the gardener in your life? Pop over to Millie’s Gifts and Garden shop at The Courtyard Craft Centre, Lytchett Minster.

All gifts pictured are under £20 and we have lots more in store, including Christmas wreaths, hyacinth pots, homemade cards and wrapping paper.

Opening hours Wednesday to Saturday 10am-2pm, Thursday extended hours until 8pm.

Exciting news ……. We are now open on Saturdays and the Christmas shop is stocked and ready!

Pop in between 10am-2pm Wednesday, Friday & Saturday or for our late night opening on Thursdays 10am-8pm from 20th November to 18th December.

It is always a pleasure to see the wildlife emerge on the Shaftesbury Millie College site.

Today we’ve had the pleasure of seeing wild rabbits, a stoat, sika deer and plenty of geese passing through.

Another Shaftesbury Millie College milestone this week, with the opening of our new off site shop, Millie’s Gifts and Garden!

You can visit us Wednesday-Friday 10am-2pm at The Courtyard Craft Centre, Lytchett Minster.

This will provide the perfect base for students to practice their work related learning and sell their wares, produced at the college.

If you are looking for freshly laid eggs from our rescue chickens, homegrown produce and plants or something a little more crafty for a gift, then call in, say hello and pick up a treat. 👋

Join us for a day of celebrations following 3 wonderful years of Shaftesbury Millie College operating on site!

With animal encounters, falconry displays, creative crafts, have a go horticulture sessions and free face painting what more could you need? Oh wait, maybe an ice cream from Dorset Rose and a light lunch from Faith's Kitchen café will complete the day!

Guided tours are available on the day to show you more about Shaftesbury Millie College.
