What a fantastic day at the Eco Fair!

Our choir had such a wonderful time performing — lots of smiles and great music. A huge thank you to everyone who stopped to listen and support us!

We were also very excited to show off our brand new uniform — we think the choir looked brilliant! Please like this post if you agree.

And to make the day even more special, we celebrated our wonderful Music Director Wendy’s birthday too 🎂💐 Thank you, Wendy, for all the energy, encouragement, and joy you bring to the choir every week.

A lovely day of music, community, and celebration 💚🎵

Today we celebrate World Voice Day – a global reminder of just how powerful our voices are.

At Rising Voices, we see every day how singing is more than just making music – it’s a way to heal, connect, and express who we truly are. Whether it’s lifting our mood, building confidence, or bringing people together, singing allows us to care for both our voices and our wellbeing.

The 2026 theme, “Caring for Our Voices,” couldn’t feel more relevant. Taking time to nurture our voices means giving space to be heard, to be creative, and to support one another through the shared joy of singing.

Why not join us on 26th April and experience the joy of singing for yourself?
Come along to our Big Sing, featuring hit songs from Andrew Lloyd Webber’s musicals, and discover the uplifting power of singing in a fun and welcoming atmosphere.

A Heartfelt Thank You

We would like to say a huge and sincere thank you to Broadstone Floral Decoration Society and Masonic Lodge Forum Conclave 392 for their incredibly generous donations to Rising Voices Wessex.

Your support makes a real and lasting difference. These donations help us continue to provide a safe haven for those living with and beyond cancer — a welcoming space where individuals can come together, sing, connect, and feel understood.

At Rising Voices Wessex, the choir is so much more than music. It is friendship, encouragement, strength, and a sense of belonging during what can be an incredibly challenging time.

From all of us at Rising Voices Wessex — thank you for helping us keep our voices raised. 🎶

World Cancer Day 💛

At Rising Voices Wessex, we believe in the power of singing to support wellbeing and connection.

Singing can’t cure cancer — but it can help in deeply meaningful ways. Research shows that singing can reduce stress, support breathing, lift mood, and create a sense of belonging at a time when many people feel isolated. For those living with cancer, as well as carers and loved ones, singing together can offer moments of calm, joy, and shared strength.

Today, on World Cancer Day, we stand with everyone affected by cancer and celebrate the small, human moments of support that music can bring.
