What a special evening
31 out of 261!
The Lodge of Amity, No. 137 has been meeting in Poole for an incredible 261 years! Since 1765 members have been meeting and maintaining the traditions of the Lodge and Freemasonry in general.
How much has the world changed in the time that has seen 10 Monarchs in the United Kingdom, we wonder?
Before this year, only 30 Masters of the lodge, a post that usually changes every year, have stayed on to do a second or third year. This week saw neil White become the 31st Master to do so.
An enjoyable evening, followed by dinner of Steak and Kidney pudding was enjoyed by members, visitors and the Provincial team, headed by Leon Matthews.
Congratulations Neil and the team.
Grateful thanks to Chris Wills
