NEWS BRIEF 2 - Update on earlier post…

Our 2nd Project for 2026 was to fund a vehicle….

but….

Thanks to a bit of HUMINT provided by Gillian’s hubby Kev 11th, 39th, 54th Breakfast Club …and “Kev’s” request for OUR support..A more important Project jumped the queue.
Today, former bootneck Andy, with his new Outlander All-Terrain Self Propelled wheelchair went out on its maiden roll. Turns out it’s his wife’s Birthday and they went out for lunch. BZ Team 👏YOU made that happen.

I’d like to thank Andy for giving his permission to post this….

Because……What we are striving to do is make a reality beyond our circle…and …Get stuff done!👊

You know all that stuff they taught us like interlocking arcs (work together to cover the ground) strength in depth (work collaboratively not as a silo) Ensure good comms (share the info without fear or favour) etc etc …. We ALL know it works and we must do better!…BZ Kev🇬🇧🫡

As you are aware our 1st Project for 2026 was a fundraiser to get Gillian a Spinal Op so she could get back “properly on her feet”! To be able to support veterans … You know who you are guys…

Wednesday 30 September 2026 Gillian had her Operation and I am pleased to report everything went according to plan ….

Hi Rob and Debs ,
Surgery went well .
Surgeon said very tight in there, he discovered that the bone was compressing the nerve as well as the discs , so had 3 x discs partially removed and the bone .
Sore but manageable.
Have walked up and down the corridor with crutches and have very glamorous girdle to wear !
Home this evening to the tender ministrations of nurse Kev 😱 I’m screwed ! 😂😂
Catch up soon , and thanks again for all you have done .

Derek’s been busy with maintenance on TANGO 7. Another hit with the jet washer, gel cleaner for the rust marks and taping up and renewing the Anti Fouling. More work to do inside then time to launch back at Cobbs…Date tbc…

Thanks ladies 🇬🇧🫡

It was my great pleasure to host Val (Jacqui’s mum), Alice, Karen, Gillian, Jacqui, Dena from The West Lulworth WI today.
Yes I bored these ladies (As I do everyone) with our vision that is RB Project Q …Then as coincidence would have it…I then even had the privilege of introducing the ladies to Professor Qureshi….Tas to us …who popped for a chat.

I’m very grateful for your visit ladies and so glad you enjoyed the whole experience…Uncle Mark excelled as always with his awesome lunchtime specials 👏👨‍🍳.
