At last the round the island trophy is back in Poole. And once again well done to the crew of vaquita.

We arrived in Poole with crew and vessel in tact and happy. We had good winds on the way back and even tried out the auto-helm. We do have a new volunteer for sea warriors. So I would like you all to welcome Rob Flux on board as a volunteer crew member.

We have made it to cowes at last and collected our well deserved trophy.

Today, the crew will be moving vaquita from lymington to cowes to pick up the trophy that we won at Round the Island Race. Then tomorrow vaquita will be returning under sail back to her home port of poole where she will rest for this years season. She will be lifted onto dry dock for maintenance in October. Keep your eyes peeled for pics and vids from this weekend.

This weekend, vaquita went out with lead skipper Scott. Around 2pm Saturday, storm clouds came over and was braced with dealing with a tangled front sail. The crew really pulled together, but especially well done to Scott Harvey-Whittle (skipper) who managed to sail and get the crew back to safety through a storm on his own.

Look out for posts next weekend where vaquita will be sailed back to her home port from Lymington.
