Children of Uganda (UK) - BSUF More recently BSUF has helped to build Butansi Nursery School, which hosted our first mobile medical clinic to check out the health of the children.

Annette Mbedha founded the Buyemba Suubira Uganda Foundation (BSUF) in honour of her parents, to give something back to Butansi, in the Kamuli region of SE Uganda, where her family came from and where some of her family still live. We present here the work of Children of Uganda (UK) for BSUF in Uganda, to support Annette Mbedha and her dream to help the people of Butansi, where her family came fro

m. To help underprivileged children to gain a proper education and to help the villagers to be more self sufficient, in terms of helping them to start small businesses or to get increased yields from their crops. With a 2 hour walk to the nearest hospital, it is most important that we get the funds to build our Community Centre, with a permanent clinic to provide ongoing healthcare and social services for the children and villagers.

They are currently linked with the university and hospitals in Lira, N. Uganda. We hope that once our medical clinic is completed, we will be able to link up with this wonderful charity.

WORK STARTS ON OUR COMMUNITY CENTRE. We are so pleased to announce that on the 16th April, BSUF's Founder Annette Mbedha handed over the land to Grand Construction Co Ltd... so that work can begin on Phase 1 of our Community Centre Project. Building will now commence, starting with the building of the much needed Health Clinic. With special thanks to Theatre Make a Difference Trush for their generous donation.

We are very proud of William, one of our very bright young students, who was made Head Boy at his primary school. He has passed his final primary school exams extremely well... and we are now selecting a suitable secondary school for him. Both his parents are deaf and were struggling to pay for his education. So we stepped in... and he has a bright future ahead.
