Royal Cornwall Show 2026 is done and dusted! After 2 fantastic days (despite the weather) and an understandable decision to cancel Day 3, our volunteers are packing up and heading home!

Always a pleasure to come and join St John Ambulance - Cornwall and IOS along with volunteers from across St John Ambulance - Dorset !

We also had the pleasure of celebrating a birthday with a friend from Plymouth St John Ambulance, what better way to celebrate than decorating her bike with balloons!!

Yesterday our volunteers joined our West Dorset colleagues at Sherborne Castle for their annual Country Fayre!

With temperatures hitting the 30’s it was a hot day all around, but our volunteers worked hard to care for everyone that needed our help, thank you all for giving your day!

St John Ambulance Dorset are looking for dedicated people who wish to volunteer to make a difference in their communities!

We currently have two roles available:

Community Volunteers - providing support through a wide selection of activities – including fundraising, talks and demonstrations, supporting at events, volunteer welfare, social media and administration support.

Emergency Responders - Providing first aid at a wide variety of events throughout Dorset including sporting events, concerts and more!

Both vacancies are open until the 6th of June - please don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any questions!
