🚀 A Busy Weekend of Space Training!
Last weekend, we delivered both Blue and Bronze Space courses across two full days of training, with Blue Space taking place on Saturday and Bronze Space on Sunday.
Across the weekend, a total of 24 cadets took part, representing 8 different squadrons from across Dorset. It was fantastic to see so many cadets coming together to develop their knowledge and interest in space science, technology, and exploration.
Throughout the courses, cadets completed a range of interactive activities linked to the RAFAC Space syllabus, covering subjects such as satellite technology, rocketry, space exploration, and the wider impact of space science on everyday life. Activities included practical rocket tasks, research projects, and teamwork exercises designed to build confidence, communication, and problem-solving skills alongside STEM knowledge.
We were also fortunate to have the support of two Gold Space qualified cadets assisting as instructors across the weekend, helping deliver activities and supporting younger cadets through the syllabus. It was great to see cadets not only progressing through the Space pathway, but also developing as leaders and instructors themselves.
A brilliant weekend of learning, teamwork, and STEM development — well done to everyone involved! 🌍🛰️🚀
