⚽ We were delighted to attend the recent Partners Skills Practice event at AFC Bournemouth's impressive new Performance Centre.

Representing Skills and Learning were Becca (Learner Support Manager) and Christian (Work Experience IT Technician), who enjoyed a great day of networking, collaboration, and friendly competition with fellow partners.

This event was particularly meaningful as it marked our final AFC Bournemouth event as an Executive Regional Partner. We're incredibly grateful for the opportunities, support, and connections this partnership has brought over the years.

Thank you to AFC Bournemouth for being such valued partners and for hosting a memorable event. It's been a pleasure to be part of the journey.

🎉 Level 4 Counselling Celebration 2026🎉

What a wonderful afternoon celebrating the achievements of our Level 4 Counselling learners at Poole Adult Learning Centre.

It was a chance to reflect on the dedication, resilience and personal growth shown throughout the course, and to celebrate the incredible journey each learner has taken. It was lovely to see students, tutors and colleagues come together to share memories and mark this important milestone.

The celebration was also an opportunity to say goodbye to our much-loved Counselling Tutor, Lorna Smith, as she begins her retirement after many years of inspiring and supporting learners.

Lorna's impact on students and colleagues has been immense. The heartfelt messages shared during the event highlighted her kindness, wisdom, encouragement and unwavering support. As colleague Michelle Small beautifully expressed, Lorna's warmth, energy and guidance have left a lasting impression on so many people.

Thank you, Lorna, for everything you have given to Skills & Learning. You will be greatly missed, and we wish you a happy and fulfilling retirement.

Congratulations to all our Level 4 Counselling learners, and best wishes to Lorna as she begins this exciting new chapter.
