We are, an entirely voluntary club whose aim is to provide voluntary lifeguard cover at Sandbanks Beach, on Sundays and Bank Holidays; from May-September whilst working alongside the recently formed RNLI Beach Lifeguard program. Become a lifeguard, learn new skills, get fit, support a charity through volunteering or simply meet new people

The Club is affiliated to the Royal Life Saving Society UK; which is the UK's premier Education and Training Skills organisation for Water Safety, Aquatic Supervision and Drowning Prevention. RLSS UK is the Governing Body for Lifesaving Sport and Lead Industry Body for training Lifeguards, setting standards and providing guidance and advice on aquatic safety. We are in partnership with the RNLI Beach Lifeguard program where we work closely with the RNLI Lifeguards and promote the volunteer aspect in both parties as well as encouraging our younger members to become Beach Lifeguards for the future.

Community in Action

A huge thank you to Simon and Lara Moore for once again providing water safety and first aid cover for the annual Bearwood Church Youth Group beach evening.

For over 12 years, they’ve helped make this fantastic community event possible, giving young people the chance to enjoy a safe and fun evening at the beach.

We’re proud to support events like these and look forward to returning again next year.

Beach Training!!

After a delayed start to the season due to the rare Red Heatwave Alert, we were delighted to finally get back in the sea on 2 July.

It was fantastic to see so many members proudly wearing our new yellow rash vests. A huge thank you to the team at the Royal Mail Sorting Office for their generous donation, which helped make these possible.

Hello everyone, we hope you’re as excited as we are about the swim being back this year!
Please read the information below before places go on sale!
When the swim places go live;
- full distance places will be on sale
- ⁠Half swim please use the waitlist option
- Half swim will potentially go on sale at a later date (if it goes ahead this year)
This year we are working with Sportiva to help us run the entry process and manage the overall wimmer experience, in the build up to the event day. There will be two new options available when you purchase your swim places:
1. Klarna instalments payment option
2. Optional Insurance (against injury/life events)
OPTIONAL INSURANCE (against injury/life events)
When you purchase your swimming place you will have option to insure your place in case you cannot take part, for reasons such as injury/life events).
Be aware that in the event the swim is cancelled (on safety grounds) the insurance does not apply. We would offer partial refunds (once all costs are covered) as per our Terms & Conditions - see our website in the comments for T&Cs
The insurance option can only be purchased at the same time you pay for your swim place. The insurance cannot be purchased at a later date.
Please make sure you’ve considered whether this is an option you want to use before you complete your registration.
