Our Story
Life Works was set up in 2013 to give volunteering opportunities to ex-offenders although now works with the wider community. It is a partnership project between The Footprints Project and Parkstone URC. Life Works has received funding from The People's Health Trust and has also received funding for a van and workshop from The People's Projects run by The Big Lottery and ITV.
Participants are able to gain skills in painting & decorating, gardening and grounds work, up-cycling furniture as well as running short introductory courses in plumbing and bricklaying. We take a ground up approach offering the chance to give, and gain employability and life skills, as well as build confidence and self-esteem. Life Works is based in Poole. Our participants are provided lunch and refreshments and travel expenses are covered.
