Shine provides support and information to adults in their 20s, 30s and 40s who have had a cancer diagnosis. https://linktr.ee/shinecancersupport

Shine is the only UK charity that exclusively supports men and women in their 20s, 30s and 40s that are dealing with cancer of any type. Cancer is rarer in people under 50 and, although any cancer experience will be difficult, it is easy to feel isolated when you can't find people in similar circumstances to you. We provide information, support and events that encourage friendship and support and also reduce isolation. We'd love you all to 'like' our page to share our message and show support for our members. We have a private group on Facebook for young adults with cancer (facebook.com/groups/shinecancersupport) and another for "Shine Plus Ones" - the partners, family and close friends of young adults with cancer (facebook.com/groups/shineplusones). You may request to join these groups - please send us a direct message via this page so we know who you are and can add you! Liking this page will mean you are up-to-date with what is happening with Shine and you will get invited to the best parties and events!! Please join and spread the message to your friends! Thanks

Today, we wanted to spotlight the wonderful team at AND Digital for supporting us for their second year running (pardon the pun) at Run Media City 5k Relay Race! We are over the moon to have had them back on board as a workplace team who together raised over £500 for young adults with cancer.

Meg and Ben from our London office were lucky enough to go along to Illuminet’s London team walk for their Step Up for Shine challenge a couple of weeks ago! The team wore orange t-shirts with QR codes on the back to get some extra donations from passers by. They also sold Shine t-shirts to anyone who was interested, raising lots of awareness in the process.

It was a pleasure to join them and to hear how keen the team have been to support young adults with cancer 🧡

We know being a young adult with cancer can be lonely, and it’s even more difficult if you’ve been given an incurable or chronic diagnosis.

Our online Circles programme is for people with an incurable diagnosis.

You’ll join a small group that meets virtually once a week for six weeks.

Together we’ll discuss topics such as managing uncertainty, how relationships can change and telling your story.
