Shine Cancer Support

Shine Cancer Support Shine provides support and information to adults in their 20s, 30s and 40s who have had a cancer diagnosis. https://linktr.ee/shinecancersupport

Shine is the only UK charity that exclusively supports men and women in their 20s, 30s and 40s that are dealing with cancer of any type. Cancer is rarer in people under 50 and, although any cancer experience will be difficult, it is easy to feel isolated when you can't find people in similar circumstances to you. We provide information, support and events that encourage friendship and support and

also reduce isolation. We'd love you all to 'like' our page to share our message and show support for our members. We have a private group on Facebook for young adults with cancer (facebook.com/groups/shinecancersupport) and another for "Shine Plus Ones" - the partners, family and close friends of young adults with cancer (facebook.com/groups/shineplusones). You may request to join these groups - please send us a direct message via this page so we know who you are and can add you! Liking this page will mean you are up-to-date with what is happening with Shine and you will get invited to the best parties and events!! Please join and spread the message to your friends! Thanks

Office brunch? Don't mind if we do ☕🥂

We got the team together for a Rise & Shine Brunch - and if we can do it, so can you!

Send out your invites and ask attendees to give what they'd normally spend on brunch (around £20 each). All money raised goes towards helping young adults facing cancer.

A HUGE thank you to everyone who joined us for Shake Up Max last weekend 🧡

Young adults with cancer travelled from across the country for Shine's residential weekend - and reminded us just how powerful it is to be in a room full of people who ‘get it’.

We shared highs and lows. Laughter and tears. And formed connections that are hard to find without that shared experience.

This is why Shine does what it does.

At the beginning of 2026, Shine published a report called 'Overlooked and Undersupported' where we explored the realities of people aged 20 - 49 with cancer in the UK.

Swipe to find out if you knew about the social, financial, and emotional effects of cancer. After, be sure to sign up to host a Rise & Shine brunch today to help us raise funds and awareness for young adults affected by cancer and the unique life stage challenges they face. 🧡

Our monthly online Diversity Meet Ups are for anyone from Black, Asian or minoritised ethnic communities. They’re an opportunity to speak to others who ‘get it’.

There’s no agenda, and you don’t have to bring any specific issues or problems to discuss – just bring yourself (however you’re feeling)!

Next meeting: Monday 08 June, 7:30 pm

We'd love to see you there 🙌 Sign up here: https://shinecancersupport.typeform.com/to/ZoJi4lb8?typeform-source=shinecancersupport.org

For many, the hardest part of cancer - particularly mentally - doesn't happen until after treatment ends.

After being in survival mode for so long, all of the emotions and feelings come flooding in.

This Mental Health Awareness Week, we're sharing some of those experiences from our community.

What has your experience been? We'd love to hear from you in the comments 🤍

Zoe was diagnosed with ER+ and PR+ hormone positive breast cancer in 2024 aged 35.

After finding Shine through our annual Shine Connect Conference, Zoe took part in our Break Out programme where she made friends with other young adults with cancer. They still meet up and speak regularly.

By hosting a Rise & Shine brunch, you can help us to support young adults just like Zoe who are facing a cancer diagnosis. Sign up today to make a real difference! 🧡
