𝐇𝐨𝐦𝐞 𝐞𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 is on the rise across the UK, and we want those young people to have access to inspiring tech experiences.

Light Up Lids is a free, hands-on wearable tech workshop for home educated young people aged 11–16. On 𝟏𝟖 𝐉𝐮𝐧𝐞 𝐚𝐭 𝐏𝐨𝐨𝐥 𝐈𝐧𝐧𝐨𝐯𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐂𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐞, participants will design and programme their own light-up baseball cap using beginner-friendly coding tools and real programmable hardware. No previous experience needed.

Places are FREE and a parent or responsible adult must remain on-site throughout the session.

What does AI actually look like in Adult Social Care? Sam Underwood, owner of Polventon House Residential Home and Day Care, St Keverne, Helston , shares exactly that.

Sam discovered Tech Cornwall's AI Enabled Improvement course
through Proud to Care. The five-week hands-on programme helps Adult Social Care Managers use agile methods and AI tools to lead real change, without needing a tech background.

At Tech Cornwall, we're on a mission to inspire the next generation of Cornish tech talent, and to support this we need volunteers to help make that happen.

You don't need a computer science degree or years of industry experience. What matters most is enthusiasm. If you're excited about what technology can do for people, and you want to help children and students explore what that could mean for them you're exactly who we're looking for.

A few hours of your time could genuinely change someone's future.

We are currently looking for volunteers for the following events:

We would like to apologise to any parents wishing to come along to the Cornwall Tech Jam today, Thursday Feb 19th.

Due to a publishing error the Facebook posts were not mentioning that the event required booking a place. As we had so few bookings in the afternoon we cancelled that part of the day. This was not visible on Facebook.

The Cornwall Tech Jam will return on Saturday 14th March at Hendra Hall in Truro. 10am - 2pm as is our usual timing.
