Youth Cymru primarily exists to support youth workers, club leaders and their management committees in developing their programmes and meeting the priorities of the young people they work with. Additionally it promotes projects that respond to the specific needs of young people both locally and nationally. It sponsors a range of area and regional events of which some lead to national and UK wide c

ompetition, and provides a comprehensive programme of training for leaders, club members and committees.

Young People Say is all about putting young people’s voices at the heart of the conversation and sharing the real impact of youth work across Wales.

Sometimes, just a few words can tell a powerful story.

We want to hear directly from young people, youth workers and youth work settings across Wales. Send us quotes, stories, group reflections, voice notes, videos, photos, participation opportunities or short updates that showcase the difference youth work makes.

Results are one moment, not your whole story.

Results season can bring a mix of emotions, excitement, nerves, relief, disappointment, or uncertainty about what comes next.

Whatever your results, remember that one set of grades can’t tell your whole story. They don’t measure your creativity, resilience, kindness, experiences, skills or potential.

Whether your next step is university, college, an apprenticeship, training, work, volunteering, or you’re still figuring things out, there’s no single path to success.

Be proud of how far you’ve come, take your time with what comes next, and remember you are more than your results.

Could you help shape the future of youth work in Wales?

Youth Cymru is looking for new Trustees to join our Board and help guide our mission of empowering young people across Wales.

We're looking for people who are passionate about making a difference and bringing fresh ideas to the table. Whether your background is in finance, youth work, HR, fundraising, digital communications, or another area of expertise, we'd love to hear from you.

You don't need previous trustee experience: we'll provide all the training, support, and mentoring you need to thrive in the role.

We believe our Board should reflect the diversity of the communities we serve, and we warmly encourage applications from people of all backgrounds, particularly young people, people living with disabilities, and people from diverse ethnic backgrounds.

☀️Here's your reminder to look after yourself during the summer holidays.

For some people, the summer holidays are full of adventures and making memories. For others, they can feel long, lonely, or overwhelming. However you're spending your summer, remember there's no right or wrong way to do it.

Looking after your wellbeing can be as simple as taking a break, spending time with people who make you feel good, getting outside for some fresh air, or doing something that makes you smile. It's also okay if some days feel harder than others.

Be kind to yourself this summer. Rest when you need to, celebrate the small wins, and remember that your wellbeing matters every day of the year.

What do human rights mean to you?

If you're aged 14 - 19, this is your opportunity to have your voice heard and help shape the Living Rights project.

Cymru Global, Promo Cymru and the National Centre of Religious Education for Wales at Bangor University are inviting young people to an online workshop where you can share your thoughts and experiences, explore human rights and discuss the issues that matter to you.

There’s more than one path after A Levels.

Results Day can come with a lot of pressure to know exactly what comes next; but your journey doesn’t have to look like everyone else’s.

University might be right for you. Or it could be an apprenticeship, starting work, further training, volunteering, taking a gap year or simply giving yourself some time to decide.

There’s no single “right” route, and it’s okay if your plans change along the way.

Whatever your results and whatever comes next, remember that your grades are only one part of your story. Your skills, experiences, passions and ambitions matter too.

Take your time, explore your options and choose the path that feels right for you.
