Youth Cymru

Inspiring young people to thrive through innovative opportunities while uniting organisations across Wales to shape the future of youth work.

Youth Cymru primarily exists to support youth workers, club leaders and their management committees in developing their programmes and meeting the priorities of the young people they work with. Additionally it promotes projects that respond to the specific needs of young people both locally and nationally. It sponsors a range of area and regional events of which some lead to national and UK wide competition, and provides a comprehensive programme of training for leaders, club members and committees.

Help shape mental health research in Wales!

An opportunity from ProMo-Cymru for people with lived or living experience of mental health difficulties, or experience caring for someone who has, to help shape a national research project.

Two Lived Experience Panels are being created for young people aged 14–20 and adults aged 18+, giving people the opportunity to share their experiences and help ensure the research reflects real life.

No research experience is needed, your voice and experiences are what matter.

Are you aged 11–18 and living in Wales? This could be your chance to have your voice heard!

Our Voice Our Journey, in partnership with the Electoral Commission, is looking for 15 young people from across Wales to join a brand-new Youth Voice Network.

You don’t need to be an expert in politics, in fact, no previous experience is needed. They want to hear your opinions, questions, experiences and ideas.

As part of the network, you’ll have opportunities to share what young people really think, help create campaigns and resources, meet other young people from across Wales, take part in online sessions and residential meet-ups, and build your skills and confidence along the way.

-Travel costs for in-person sessions will be covered
