Spring is in the air! We welcomed no less than 6 new volunteers today - none of whom knew each other beforehand! The place was buzzing, which is what it's all about! They tilled our beds ready for planting, sowed flower seeds in trays, dug the flower border, and we managed to catch up a bit, post-flood, with cleaning chairs rescued from our old room, and generally sorting out the stuff scattered everywhere in the outbuildings at Calôn Taf -very satisfying! We also have our old FYWMP sign back!

We meet every Weds 10-12 in Calôn Taf if you feel like joining us - all are welcome, and there's no regular commitment needed.

We had a busy session on Wednesday, planting our new apple trees and a fig tree in our new shared plot at Calôn Taf, and digging a flower border alongside the raised grassy area. Hopefully, this will turn out to be a bit of an historic moment if we can learn to espalier the apple trees correctly so that they cover the wall in years to come.
Oh! And our kiwi plant in the greenhouse has also woken up and started growing again. Spring is in the air!

💐 Local stall holders selling seeds, plants and flowers
🌳 Local growing groups sharing knowledge and opportunities
✂️ Good Shed tool sharpening
☕ Hot drinks and food from Seal and Bear cafe

Remember you DO NOT need to have brought along seeds for swapping in order to take seeds home - everyone is welcome to take seeds.

You can drop off donations of seeds or gardening books, tools, and equipment any time between now and the event during our opening hours - no pots though please, we have LOADS!
