As the year draws to a close we would like to wish everyone a happy new year. 2025 was a fantastic year for the Mountain Heather Lodge, welcoming four new members as well as raising money for some good causes. Most notably raising £750 for Pontypridd Foodbank. Looking to 2026 we are looking forward to raising more funds for worthy causes and continued merriment with brothers.

Pictured is us presenting a cheque for £750 to the CEO of Pontypridd Foodbank as well as our lodges dispensation from when the lodge originally was founded!

Welcome to the page for the Rhydyfelin Buffs.

We are the Mountain Heather Lodge - a local lodge which is part of the Royal Antediluvian Order of Buffaloes - a fraternal order established over 200 years ago focused on Justice, truth and Philanthropy.

The Mountain Heather Lodge (based in Rhydyfelin) has been around for over 25 years. We meet weekly to socialise with other members as well as raise funds for an annual charity. In the past we have raised money for the Air Ambulance and St David’s Hospice as well as many more national causes. In recent years we have focused on local charities or causes such as the Ilan Centre, Action for Children and most recently this year the Pontypridd Foodbank

We would love for you to follow our page and keep up to date with what we are up to. Alternatively if you are a man above the age of 18 who is interested in joining let us know as we are always happy to welcome new brothers into the lodge and the order.
