After the weekends open it was back to business this morning for an early session fishing the flood with the Barry boys at Porthcawl pier.

Conditions were great until about an hour before high when the winds started picking up.

We had a few fish out though, 3 Small Eyed rays and a handful of dogs. Including Joes first ever Ray. A few lads decided to fish the wall and also had a few dogs.

Plenty more going on this week, so time for a rest.

I want to start off by saying a massive thank you to everyone that was involved with today’s open fundraiser at The Knap and Porthkerry - the participants, sponsors, supporters, the guys from Tide Together Competitions, everyone that donated a prize, Barry Yacht Club and of course the brilliant team of volunteers. You were all amazing today - thank you 🙏🏻.

The weather wasn’t the best but it could’ve been worse. The rain held off for most of the day but it was still a bit uncomfortable in the wind and drizzle. The weather definitely had an impact on the turn out with 42 people registering, 12 of which were juniors.

There wasn’t many fish about with only 8 fish caught.

Congratulations to all that finished in the prizes.

The most important thing is we raised £600 for Wales U16 Shore Angling Team.
