This Saturday 5th September we’ll be at Seaford for the Tide Together Competitions social.

If you’re interested in setting up a Reel Minds group in your area come along and speak to us.

We’ll be joined by The Shore Hunter, Anglers National Line Recycling Scheme, The Eastbourne Fisherman, Eastbourne Nomads, Reap and England U21 Shore Team.

🎣 That’s a wrap on our summer holiday kids’ sessions! 🎣
What a busy final session today! The kids were getting stuck in from the start, learning how to tie knots and even tying their own rigs, all ready for the docks session that followed. 👏

There were plenty of gobies coming out, along with one solitary wrasse making an appearance! 🐟

It’s been brilliant watching everyone learn, get involved, build confidence and, most importantly, have fun along the way. We’ll be back again in the next school holidays — and we’re already looking forward to seeing everyone again! 🎣

Plenty happening in North Wales.

Our Rich isn’t resting up after our meet on the weekend.

Another session today with a couple of anglers that turned up just as we were leaving the beach on Sunday. They live local and wanted to give fishing a try to get them outdoors, get moving and to meet people.

They had a few small bass and learnt the basics.

I’m sure they’ll be back for more.

We’ve got more sessions at Kinmel Bay in September as follows:

Sunday 6th 5pm
Friday 11th 09:30am
Sunday 13th 11:00am
Friday 25th 09:00am
Monday 28th 10:30am

🎣 Tomorrow is our LAST Barry Under 18s Under Rig Making Session 🎣
Join us at The Bridge Community Centre from 12:00–2:00pm for our final under rig making session, followed by an afternoon of fishing over Barry Docks from 2:30–6:00pm. 🐟🎣

A big thank you to everyone that attended today’s fishing social in North Wales. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

We had a great day (other than the 20 minute downpour).

It was great to get the new kit handed over to Rich James and to catch up with Viv from Ffit Conwy Leisure Development, Dad and Lad Fishing, the MBSA boys and all the locals that turned up to take part or just to watch and chat.

I’m glad you all enjoyed it and we’re so thankful for all your kind words at the end of the session. We hope you’ll be back for more.

We had a nice steady flow of fish today with a few small tope, bass and flounder being landed.

Tidy little session this afternoon. 3 hounds for me and a hound and a small tope for Nathan.

My first hound was pulled in by hand as I’d snagged my own deadline. I must have had a nick in the line as it snapped as soon as I lifted my rod. Luckily I snagged it on the next cast with a small hound attached. Another 2 followed then 1 for Nathan and his first shore caught Tope.

Time for bed now, we’re looking forward to seeing everyone in the morning at Kinmel Bay.
