Starting back on 2nd October 😊

The hall will be open to all from 2pm tomorrow to view the produce and art and craft entered this year. The bar will be open and there will be a charity auction at 3pm. All welcome 🤗

Cwmavon Produce and Craft show 22nd August, 2026
Are you ready?
The weather has been perfect for growing food and flowers. You can show a sample of your crops at our show. We have 'open' categories for both vegetable and fruit classes, so you can pretty much show anything here.
There are lots of craft and art categories too; there is still time to make something. We've made our photographic section especially accessible to beginners; pictures can be taken with mobile phones as well as SLR cameras. We want small photos. Apparently, Asda in Cwmbran have a photo printing service, so you don't even need a printer.
This year's theme for the chairman's prize is 'mobile's, wind-chimes and dream-catchers' made from natural materials, for example feathers, sticks, shells, seeds - anything you can find out in the wild.
Last year, we had a bumper number of entries, so again, it will only be possible to have one entry per category but with 9 classes with a total of 59 categories, we are sure you will find something that you can enter.
Children’s entries are welcome and free for under 12’s.

Tai Chi is now on a summer break. It’s back on Friday September 4th. No need to book, just turn up! 10am start

Tai Chi All welcome, every Friday at 10am. No need to book, just turn up, £4 per session

Ann is a local experienced Tai Chi instructor. Tai Chi is a gentle form of exercise with benefits to mental and physical health. Loose comfortable clothes should be worn. Suitable for beginners. £4 cash payable on the day please.
This event will be held every Friday starting back on Friday 16th January 2026

There will be no Yoga this Wednesday 5th August, but Yoga continues on Mondays at 10 and Wednesdays at 6 throughout the summer 😊

****New at Cwmavon Village hall****

If you need support and guidance with training your dog, come join us at Abergavenny Dog Training Club for fun, engaging and flexible training sessions. Our sessions are selected by Steven Vedmore, who has over 30 years experience in dog training. We have puppy and beginner classes along with advanced classes. Dogs and handlers are assessed to our Bronze, Silver and Gold certification.

Classes are held in Cwmavon Village Hall on Mondays from 19.00. Sessions are £5 payable in blocks of 8 (Total £40).
