Hope GB Based in Torfaen, we run a once monthly evening support group & family day trips for Families & Carers affected by Autism.

The team enjoyed a well deserved night out at the Torfaen Community & Volunteer Awards.
We were very proud to be nominated for the Children & Youth Group Award sponsored by
Bron Afon Community Housing and even more excited to be recognised as a runner up.

Sarah Robinson, Founder & CEO of Hope GB said: “It means so much to us that the work of

Sometimes you don't need someone to fix everything. You just need someone who understands.

Someone who gets why a trip out didn't go to plan. Someone who understands the challenges of navigating services. Someone who celebrates the little victories with you. Someone you can talk to without having to explain everything.

That's why connection and support matter so much.

We provide opportunities for families and carers to connect with people who understand the joys and challenges of supporting an autistic person.

Looking for a fun activity for the October half-term?

Join Hope GB for a one-hour private swimming session at Pontypool Leisure Centre! 🌊

Enjoy time in the pool with your family in a private-hire session, providing a great opportunity to have fun together.

📅 Date: Wednesday 28th October 2026
⏰ Time: 3:00pm – 4:00pm
📍 Location: Halo Pontypool Leisure Centre

🎟️ Ticket prices:
💙 Child (ages 1–18): £4
💙 Adult carer: £4
👶 Babies: Free

A few things to know:
🏊 The main pool is privately hired for one hour.
🛟 Floats are available in the pool, but inflatables are not provided.
👨👩👧 A parent or carer must stay throughout the session.
🚗 Free car parking is available.
💜 Hope GB staff will be at reception from 2:40pm wearing purple T-shirts.

Please check the swimming supervision requirements when booking: children aged 4–7 require one adult per two children, children under 4 require one adult each, and children over 8 can swim independently.

We're a Cwmbran-based charity supporting autistic children, young people, adults and the families and carers around them.

From our Little Explorers Club and youth clubs to young adult support groups, training, information and awareness raising, our aim is simple - to provide support, connection and opportunities for autistic people and their families.
