Hope for the Community

Hope for the Community Hope for the Community is based at the Living Waters Centre (formerly Sharon Church) Pontypool NP4 6LU.

It is a community group growing grassroots responses to local needs. It operates as supplementary to, but separate from, the faith-work of the church.

We have made some changes to the grocery store to give you better choices, we have added a £1 special buys section, these items will change weekly they might be cleaning products, toiletries or cupboard staples and saves you upto half price. Our £5 and £10 shop are still available and we have restocked the 50p baby cupboard (nappies, wetwipes, food) pantry (condiments, baking goods, tins) meat items (fish, sausages, bacon) and freezers (veggies, chips, Y. Pudds) Pop in and see for yourself open Saturday 10-12

Just a reminder: the café and shop are closed on Tuesday (25/8) and Wednesday (26/8) because our kids' holiday club is running instead. We're open again on Saturday, 10-12.

Had fun this morning at hub having Breakfast with piarate Pete and his motley crew, shipmate tommi, Blue-locks Lisa, danni the dreaded and Captain Mathew, we had blackbeards breakfast at cafe and what piarates ate for breakfast taster table as part of the Torfaen food trail Food 4 Growth Torfaen, we had fun with temp tattoos, crafts and games. Piarate milly won best dress child and piarate Alan won best adult.

Today we took our wonderful volunteers and staff out for afternoon tea at the parkway to thank them for all the work they do, we value every one of them and without them we wouldn't be the awesome team that's hope for the community. Ahoy mateys, come and have some pirate fun with us on Saturday 8th August at 10 till 12 for our Torfaen food trail event, Food 4 Growth Torfaen we have lots of activities including what kept the most feared buccanees fuelled up and ready to plunder, we have our 18th century piarate breakfast taster table, black beards breakfast at cafe (£2.50) cafe and community shop is open as usual. come in fancy dress.. there's a prize for best dressed pirate (adult and child) meet pirate Pete but be nice or he might make you walk the plank.
