With the UK Government warning of incoming shocks to our food system, sustainable, community-supported agriculture is more important than ever. We're proud to be part of the 0.1% of farmed land in Cymru used for horticulture, but with a target of 75% of recommended vegetable consumption produced sustainably in Wales by 2030 (Food Policy Alliance Cymru), we've got some way to go.

COMMUNITY SPOTLIGHT

Fresh food, grown locally and supporting local families 🌱

Down to Zero in Pontyclun grows fresh produce which goes into affordable vegetable boxes for families experiencing food poverty.

The project is helping people access fresh, healthy and affordable food, while supporting the local community. 💚

The site also hosts Think Creatively’s ‘Tyfu gyda’r tir’ programme, bringing people together through arts, wellbeing and nature🌿

A great example of community-led support making a difference.
