In collaboration with Cwmbach Community Wetlands / Gwlyptiroedd Cymunedol Cwmbach, we're pleased to offer our community the opportunity to gain a funded qualification in Forestry in the Community, a Level 1 Award. 🌟

We're looking for people who may be interested in volunteering at Cwmbach Wetlands as part of a path maintenance group, but this isn't mandatory for attendance!

Participants must be able to commit to all four dates listed. Spaces are limited, and registration is essential. 🦒

The Level 1 Award in Forestry in the Community introduces volunteers to the core principles of woodland and wetland management through practical, hands-on learning. The course covers essential skills such as habitat creation, biodiversity support, seasonal land management, and the safe use of hand tools. Learners will explore how natural environments function, how to care for them effectively, and how small, practical actions can make a real difference to local ecosystems.

For more information and to register, please visit:

If you have any further questions, send us a message or email [email protected].

This funded qualification was made possible by The National Lottery Heritage Fund's 'The Woodland Investment Grant' (TWIG) πŸͺ΅πŸŒΏ
