WATBike Servicing and repairs from our Kirkley workshop. Refurbished and new bikes for sale. Cycle transport for groups of all sizes.

We are a cycling charity based at Kirkley, near Ponteland, in the North East of England. We have a workshop which is open six days a week for servicing and repairs, as well as bike sales. We sell new bikes for kids and adults and we also have a big stock of refurbished bikes at reasonable prices. Our ethos is to get people on bikes - we run guided rides and excursions; and have a fleet of minibuses and trailers for cycle transport anywhere in the UK.

Norman from Newcastle won a Carrera from Carlisle 😍

Our friends at Rebike Cumbria recently ran a competition for a lucky person to win a free bike and it was someone from our region who brought the bike back to the east side of the country!

Keep an eye on our page over the coming weeks, as we'll be running a few competitions up to Christmas.

In as a donation, this one will be getting stripped of its Ultegra parts and then sadly put on the scrap pile. A gorgeous Cannondale Synapse, only a year or two old, the victim of a road incident.

EDIT. Thanks to the lovely Keith from Veteran Cycle Club, we now know a bit more about this bike. It's a 1959 model - yes, older even than Claire! Mostly original parts and some unusual features, like the head badge, the Capella lugs etc.

What a gorgeous Carlton - in as a donation this week. An absolute stunner and just look at those components. There's no apparent frame number but hopefully there'll be someone out there who can tell us more about it?

We'll be selling this as seen, so for info - as we're sure to be asked - it's a 56cm top tube, 54cm frame.

We never know what we'll get asked for!

Our friend Trevor Bell popped in a couple of days ago, with a request for some handlebars - no bike, just the handlebars! Trevor is involved with the drama group at Tynemouth Priory Theatre and they need some props for their upcoming production of Whisky Galore, where one of the actors will be pretending to be on a bike. We'll look forward to seeing our donations in action 😊
