We're helping our friends at Whippet Rescue UK spread the word about these two lovely dogs who urgently need a home together.

Meet Ziggy and Rocket! Ziggy is a Bedlington x Whippet and Rocket is a Jack Russell, aged approximately 10 and 7. They're a friendly, affectionate pair who still love running around the fields.

They're currently in Cheshire and are looking for a loving home, ideally in a rural setting.

We're simply helping another rescue find these two their happy ending, so all enquiries and applications should go directly to Whippet Rescue UK.

📸 Could your Sprocker be one of the stars of the 2027 SAR Calendar?

Do you have a Sprocker who found their forever home through Sprocker Assist & Rescue? We want to hear their story!

SAR is inviting owners who have rescued/adopted a Sprocker through SAR to enter our 2027 Calendar Competition. Twelve special Sprockers will be selected to feature in the 2027 Sprocker Assist & Rescue Calendar, with each winning dog having their own month, photograph, rescue story and a copy of their own 2027 Calender.

From nervous beginnings to happy endings, we want to celebrate the journeys that make rescue so special. ❤️

🐶 How to Enter - To enter, simply submit:

1. A photograph of your Sprocker
We are looking for a great-quality photograph that shows your dog's personality.

2. Your Sprocker's story
Tell us about your dog's journey. Your story could include: Before SAR, their SAR journey or Life now, how have they changed

✍️ Suggested story length
100-200 words

Entries will be judged by the Sprocker Assist & Rescue team. Each entry will be scored against the following criteria:
