A lovely Australian lady called in the Craft Inn this morning whilst she is visiting Ackworth and was telling us how former Ackworth School pupil Dr Fiona Wood was awarded Australian of the Year and is an Australian National Living Treasure due to her outstanding contribution to medicine.

Our new alphabetical business directory is coming along nicely, but we need all Ackworth businesses to join us so that it becomes the go to place for everyone who want to support local businesses. We want to save people repeatedly asking for a trade on Facebook and more importantly reach those who don't use social media. We will be posting these cards around the village with a quick link QR code to the Ackworth Business Directory website page.
