⭐️⭐️Poromtion Alert ⚠ Poromtion Alert ⚠ at 1358 (Pontardawe) Squadron .
On Tuesday 12th September 2023 WO Thomas had the privilege promoting two well deserving cadets to the rank of Corporal within the RAF Air Cadets.

Congratulations 🎊 to both Cpl George and Cpl Bowden 👏 Both individuals have grown in maturity and confidence and will be a great asset to 1358 NCO Team. They both supported the Squadron through various Engagement and supporting the Wing and Central Sector porometed the Wing Ethos Stronger Together.

Today Sunday 10th September 2023, Staff and Cadets from 1358 were in attendance of Battle of Britain Chruch Service held in St Hilarys in Killay. The Squadron teamed up with other Central Sector Squadrons.

Last night the Squadron had a very special visit from PC Goodall who is a Dog Handler with South Wales Police, the cadets ask some really good questions to PC Goodall attended with both of the working Dogs. This was a very good visit and what a insight to his role as a Dog Handler within the South Wales Police.

PC Goodall is a former cadet of the Squadron who still had is 3823 still in a good condition after all this time. This will be a good on going visit and for our cadets who may go into public services.

On Saturday 2nd September 2023 - Cadets from 1358 (Pontardawe) Squadron was in attendance of the Hearts of the Valley Show at the Pontardawe Community Sports and Recreational Ground, Our Cadets Engagements with the members of the public was very outstanding. From showing what the RAF Air Cadets got to offer new cadets that join the Squadron. We had a brilliant table display that was put together by the Cadets from the Squadron, with our own Squadron Branded Gazebo was a great advertise. Thank you to the Community of Pontardawe for coming up to our cadets throughout the day with your children, thanks to the Royal British Legion for lending the squadron with the Table Clothes South Wales Police, Mid and Fire Rescue, Blood Bike Wales who was near our Display and engaging with the cadets.

We Will Be Back Next Year Bigger and Better Displays :)

Congratulations to Cdt Abraham from 1358 (Pontardawe) Squadron on passing his First Class Classifications he was awarded is First Class Badge and Certificate from Sqn Ldr Brannigan on Final Parade this evening.

⭐️⭐️Promotion Alert Promotion Alert⭐️⭐️ ⚠ for 1358 (Pontardawe) Squadron we are please to announce that Cpl Davies have been Promoted to the Rank of Sergeant within the Squadron and Wing by Sqn Ldr Brannigan.

Sgt Davies has shown loyalty to the Squadron, Central Sector and Wing over the best two Years. Helping the cadets to gain their First Class Classifications and helping Sgt Day with the Leading. Helping with the Band Training at the Squadron to Promoted the Wing Band.

On Wednesday 23rd August 2023 three Cadets from 1358 (Pontardawe) Squadron had a great opportunity to attend RAF Little Rissington VGS in their First Time ever Gliding in a Viking T.MK 1. The Squadron was join by Cadets from 334 Neath Squadron both Squadron Cadets working together alongside the VGS Staff.

We had great feed back of Cadets from both Squadron from the staff at the VGS.

RAFAC Blue Wings awarded to Sgt Day after competing her PTT in 2019 and then Attending No 1 Air Experience Flying at MOD St Athan on Friday 29th July 2022 this as been back dated for Last Year. Many thanks to the Wing Aviation Officer for sorting the Wings out for Sgt Day.

On Sunday 16th July 2023 Staff, Cadets and their parents from 1358 (Pontardawe) Squadron teamed up with Staff and Cadets from 215 (City of Swansea) Squadron to helped manned one of the Food Stations in Three Crosses the rain didn't stopped our cadets having a great day.

Also seen two staff from 1358 in Swansea helping with the Cycling with the routes down by the Swansea University.
