Another fun filled afternoon today at Pocklington Rugby in the Community weekly Inclusive Sport session .There was excitement as football 'beat the goalie ' made a welcome return with Alan Lees in goal who needed body armour with some cracking shots especially from Dan & Tracey. Polybat -, adapted table tennis also made a welcome return with some amazing rallies from Dan & Tracey . Some great scoring too at Basketball and Boccia before races to finish a great afternoon of sport proving no matter what ability or disability there are lots of inclusive activities. These sessions are open to any adults with a learning /physical disability so come along .We run every Monday 1pm to 2pm Francis Scaife Sports Centre

It was another enjoyable afternoon for our 'athletes ' at our weekly Inclusive Sports session today at Francis Scaife Sports Centre. Whilst having a lot of fun it was also quite competitive with red team v blue team with nearest the 'jack ball ' at Boccia , the ever popular Kurling with Kurling stones sent either along the floor or , down a ramp for seated athletes , to a numbered target with the highest scorer gaining the honours. Also included the Harlem Hoop basket ball shoot to a floor level net and finally 'Ten Pin Topple ' knocking down 12 skittles . These sessions are open to adults with a learning /physical disability and are adopted to suit all abilities and disabilities , so if you know of anyone who would benefit come along on a Monday 1pm or contact

Next week, Pocklington 'Community Health Action Group' will be holding another 'Wellbeing and Support' event. There will be representatives from various groups and agencies who support people in our community. We have connections with a wide variety of other groups, so if we don't have an answer, we have a contact who will!

What an incredible turnout in Pocklington this morning to support Sir Kevin Sinfield on his 7 in 7 challenge! 💙🏉

It was amazing to see so many people from across our community come together to cheer Sir Kevin on as he continues to raise vital awareness and funds for motor neurone disease (MND).

This is the power of sport and community at its very best — bringing people together, shining a light on important issues and showing what can be achieved when we stand behind a shared cause.

A special moment for Pocklington Rugby in the Community Chair, Andy Bowden, and Yvonne Reay from Pocklington Rugby Union Football Club who had the opportunity to congratulate Sir Kevin and welcome him to Pocklington. 👏

It has been a busy week for Pocklington Rugby in the Community . After a hugely successful Golf Day on Wednesday the volunteers were back in action on Friday for the monthly social . 65 guests were entertained by singer and music therapist Tim Lowther from York and enjoyed a fabulous sing-a-long whilst enjoying a cuppa and a feast of homemade cakes. Some even had a little dance ! The next social is Friday 30th October when singing duo 'Pam's People ' will be entertaining our guests .
Arrangements are also being made, can you believe , for Christmas Dinners. It's all go !
