Our second-hand uniform stock is running low, and we’d love your help to keep the “pass it on” spirit going.

If your young person has outgrown their Girlguiding uniform, or has moved on to their next adventure, please consider donating clean, good-quality items so they can be enjoyed by another member. Reusing uniform helps reduce costs for families and supports sustainability too 🌍

Every donated t-shirt, hoodie or leggings makes a difference — thank you for helping us make guiding welcoming and inclusive for all.

A lovely (slightly soggy) morning on Plymouth Hoe with lots of other Girlguiding Devon members for the 100th World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts Thinking Day.

We raised the world flag, made new friends and sang together before a yummy breakfast at pier_one_plymouth 🙌

Thank you to all our young members and families for braving the rain and early start and our volunteers for making it happen.

Has someone gone above and beyond this year to support us? Perhaps you know someone you would like to nominate for our Division Appreciation Award? These can be awarded to volunteers, Rainbows, Brownies, Guides, Rangers, and external supporters in the community or parent helpers.

You have until the end of the day on Sunday to complete the form to submit to our brilliant awards committee. The committee is made up of our Assistant Division Commissioner, one of our Guide leaders, a Brownie leader from another part of Plymouth and a parent helper. They look at the nominations together and recommend the most fitting award or badge to be presented.

Girlguiding Plympton joins our local community on Remembrance Day in paying respect to those who served and sacrificed in conflict.

Some of our Rainbows, Brownies and Guides created poppies, wreaths and lanterns during their meetings last week.

To mark Remembrance Day this year, lots of our units took part in the Royal British Legion Poppy Walk at Central Park in Plymouth.

They heard how the Legion supports the armed forces and veterans, took part in the silence together with all the other participants, heard the Last Post and then headed off on the Poppy Walk. At the end they all received a medal too 🥇

Well done and thank you to everyone who took part 🙌 and to the organisers and cadets who cheered us on during the walk 🤩
