Good News Story

We’re celebrating an amazing achievement for Carl, who has been supported by
Esme through our IPS employment programme.

After working closely with Carl to revise his CV and learn more about his passions, interests and past experience, it became clear he would thrive in an outdoor, hands‑on role with plenty of customer interaction. Esme reached out to a local car wash owner, shared Carl’s strengths, and secured him an interview and trial, which he absolutely smashed.

We’re delighted to say Carl is now working full‑time, and he couldn’t be happier.

To help Carl get to and from work, Esme also connected with Bikespace CIC, who supported him with a bike for his daily commute. She delivered it to him this morning - and as you can see, he was thrilled. Carl shared how grateful he is for all the support he’s received while engaging with us.

Stories like this show the power of personalised support, community partnerships and believing in someone’s potential. Well done, Carl - and well done, Esme. 💛

Due to the unprecedented level of demand we've experienced this year, we've made the difficult decision to temporarily close our booking diary to new service bookings until the end of September.

We haven't taken this decision lightly, but we're currently at full capacity and want to make sure we can continue providing every bike with the time, care and attention it deserves, rather than overcommitting and letting our customers down.

If you already have a service booked with us, there's nothing you need to do, your booking is secure, and we'll be completing all pre-booked work as planned. Simply drop your bike off before your scheduled service date as usual.

While our booking diary is closed, we won't be accepting any new service bookings or taking advance bookings for dates after we reopen. Once we're in a position to welcome new bookings again at the end of September, we'll let everyone know.

We'd like to say a genuine thank you to everyone who has chosen to trust us with their bike this year. The support we've received has been incredible, and we're truly grateful to every single customer who has come through our doors. Your patience, understanding and continued support mean a great deal to us, and we look forward to welcoming both returning and new customers again as soon as we're able.

Thank you for your understanding, and we'll see you again when our booking diary reopens.

Unfortunately our card machine has decided to take the day off today. We are working to resolve the issue as quickly as we can, in the meantime please bring either cash or card details with you to make payments in the shop

Got a box of bike bits gathering dust? Or hunting for that one part to get you rolling again?

Come join us on Friday the 7th of August for our Jumble Sale & Parts Swap! We'll be digging out all of our hidden treasures from the backrooms for you all to cast your eyes over.

Dog out those spare bike bits from the shed, garage or that mysterious box that you've been meaning to sort. Bring them along to swap with other riders, or browse the tables and pick up the parts that you need.
