Spread the word!

What’s happening with climate and nature, and what does it mean for everyday life in the UK?

Join us for a screening of the People’s Emergency Briefing, a film which brings together nine leading UK scientists and experts with the latest evidence and why it matters for things like extreme weather, food security, health and the cost of living.

This screening is unique in that we want it to be a specifically LGBTQ+ safe space so that we can think about these issues, and how our lived experiences might affect and feed into the themes of the film.

The film is based on the National Emergency Briefing in Westminster (featured by ITV, Channel 4 and The Times) with appearances from Chris Packham, Deborah Meaden, and a range of voices from across the UK.

We really hope you can make it, seats are free but limited so please book in advance, so if you are LGBTQ+ or an ally, see you there!

5th October, 6pm-8pm at Sappho's Cafe, Plymouth
👉 https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/1999206519517

After the film there will be a short open discussion about what it means for our community and what we can do locally. There will be craft and making activities too.

See you on the 5th October!

🌱 Meet Floradex

What if you could look at a site and understand not just what’s growing there, but who’s visiting, what the pollinators are up to, and what you could plant next to make things even better? 🐝🦋🌼

That’s where Floradex comes in.

Floradex is biodiversity software from Pollenize that takes real observations of plants and insects and turns them into useful, easy-to-understand ecological insights.

It can help you:

🌿 See what plants are already thriving
🐝 Understand the pollinator connections
🗺️ Visualise biodiversity across your site
🌸 Get recommendations for what to plant next
📈 Track how biodiversity changes over time
👩‍🌾 Get staff and communities involved in monitoring

Rather than doing one survey, producing a report and putting it in a drawer forever (we’ve all been there 😅), Floradex is designed to help you keep watching, learning and improving.
