Our members and visitors come from all over the city (and beyond!) to enjoy the unique sailing club atmosphere and well organised events we

hold, the race night food is pretty special too! Our racing series are held throughout the year with some weekends. We also encourage participation in long distance racing and local regattas. We play an active part in the Port of Plymouth Regatta and the Ullman Sails Long Distance series. Our 2014 weekly calender overview:

Cadets: Tuesday nights throughout the year from 18.00
Series 1Friday nights: April 25th to June 27th
Series 2 Friday nights: July 4th to September 5th
Autumn Series Saturday afternoons: Sptember 20th to 25th October

The sailing club runs an extensive cruising programme within the English Channel and beyond. We also have a great team of volunteers who provide our cadet sailing. In addition to hosting a variety of club social activities throughout the year, we have facilities to hire for private functions where bar and catering are available. Our chef served for over 20 years in the Royal Navy on board The Royal Yacht Britannia. The Plym Yacht Club race start box is situated on the western end of Mount Batten Breakwater. This provides an extensive view of the main club racing area, Plymouth Sound and its approaches. There are moorings available with facilities for catamarans. The club opening hours are:

Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday 7.30pm -11pm
Sunday 12pm - 4pm

You'll find a great selection of hot and cold refreshments in the bar in a comfortable enviroment. Come and meet some new friends! This year, our chosen charity to support is Horizon's Children's Sailing Charity. Please check www.horizonsplymouth.org for further information.

Is it coming home? Who cares, all draught beer is now £3.50 a pint for the week! Enjoy a Cruzcampo, Torstone IPA, Dartmoor Legend or Cold River while you watch the England game. Then from Friday for the Regatta we also have Jail on tap and some Hunts Cider too, all at £3.50. Cheers!

Plym Yacht Club Fridays kicked off with a wide range of directions and strengths for the Dart Sails & Covers Series 1. 22 boats across the two fleets of IRC and YTC meant that in classic Plym style there was something for everyone.

For the 2026 Nacra 15 World Championship, South Coast Embroidery is supplying the official competitor t-shirts and managing the event merchandise store. Competitors and supporters can view and pre-order the full event range via https://nacra15worlds.southcoastembroidery.com/
All items are made to order, with selected products available with personalisation such as country codes and sail numbers. Orders will be prepared in advance and available for collection at event registration in Plymouth.
