Read Easy Plymouth We are a local, volunteer led, community based charity teaching adults to read or improve their reading skills.

We work on a one to one basis, free of charge at the reader's own pace. We are self funding and rely entirely on donations.

On the 10th July 2026, at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, Plymouth, 2pm – 4pm, we are holding a “by invitation only” event, bringing together learners, volunteers, supporters, and members of the local community, to celebrate achievements and raise awareness of the importance of adult literacy in Plymouth.

We will be highlighting the work our volunteers and readers do and the impact it can have on a person’s life.

We are always looking for new volunteers to join our team in Plymouth. Whatever time you may have to give, there will be a role for you, whether helping with recruiting, coordinating reading pairs or coaching a reader. Please get in contact.
