🧡 National Hate Crime Awareness Week, 12th October - 17th October 🧡

Everyone deserves to feel safe, respected and accepted, both in college and in the wider community.

National Hate Crime Awareness Week is an opportunity to raise awareness of hate crime, stand together against prejudice and remind everyone that hate has no place in our community.

💬 What is a hate crime?
A hate crime is a criminal offence motivated by hostility or prejudice towards someone's disability, race, religion, sexual orientation or transgender identity.

🤝 How can you make a difference?
🧡 Challenge prejudice and discrimination where it is safe to do so.
🧡 Treat everyone with kindness, dignity and respect.
🧡 Support anyone affected by hate crime.
🧡 Speak up and report hate crime when you witness or experience it.

📢 Need to report a hate crime?
For non-emergency police assistance in Devon and Cornwall, visit dc.police.uk. In an emergency, call 999 if a crime is happening now or someone is in immediate danger.

Let's work together to create a college and community where everyone belongs, regardless of who they are.
