We have been a little quiet on social media lately but wanted to share a project we were working on last year in memory of our daughter Sophie.
We were working with the charity 'Little Things & Co.' to design some temporary structures at the baby loss garden at Derriford Hospital. The charity has since ceased but we wanted to show you all the concept designs we had started to put together.
The structures were for a small contemporary bandstand/ stage type structure where the yearly baby loss 'Wave of Light' week service would have been held from & services for families throughout the year upon losing a baby at any stage of pregnancy or neonatal loss.
Then a wooden cabin which included an undercover area for rainy day gatherings, garden equipment storage and a refreshment area for teas & coffees at events and tidy up days! As a thank you for our time and work, Little Things suggested to name the cabin after Sophie, which as you can imagine brought us to tears.
Even though these structures will never come to fruition, we enjoyed creating these designs with baby loss families in mind. We have a new project in the pipeline that we look forward to sharing soon....
