Come and see what Hearts Together is all about!

Our Hearts Together Open Days are an opportunity to step inside our ‘home away from home’, meet our friendly team and volunteers, explore our facilities and find out more about the difference we make to patients, carers, friends and families staying close to loved ones at Derriford Hospital.

During your visit, you can:

- Take a look around our Hospital Hotel
- Find out how we support patients and their loved ones
- Learn more about the services we provide
- Meet our team and volunteers
- Discover ways you can get involved
- Hear about our plans for the future
- Enjoy a cuppa and some cake!

Everyone is welcome, whether you’re a supporter, potential volunteer, healthcare professional, community group, local organisation, or business group.

Our anniversary film "Hey Guys, Keep Going. 25 Years of Being Together" has been shortlisted as a finalist in the Best Small Charity Film category at The Saltways Charity Film Festival — one of four films selected from over 200 entries. We are absolutely over the moon.

Our pop-up café week starts today!

Today marks the start of our week-long fundraiser at Harewood House in Plympton, and we couldn’t be more excited to get started!

We want to kick off the week with a massive thank you to KTL (previously KandyToys Limited) for their fantastic support of our pop-up café. Your generosity is helping us make the week possible, and we’re incredibly grateful for your support.

From today until Friday 11 September, we’ll be serving up plenty of delicious treats, hot drinks and good conversation, all while raising vital funds for Hearts Together and helping us continue to support families.

What a day for the 32nd Annual Clem Spencer Cardiology Golf Day! ⛳

A far cry from today’s rainy weather, we were treated to beautiful sunshine earlier this month for our 32nd Annual Clem Spencer Cardiology Golf Day!

With over 80 golfers joining us, it was a busy and brilliant day, with everyone enjoying 18 holes of golf, our putting competition and some well-deserved refreshments along the way.

Well done to the overall winner - Pete Pascoe! Check out our website for a list of all results!

There were nearly 300 attempts at the putting competition, with just three putts successfully holed! Congratulations to Neil, who took home the prize from the golf shop.

Hearts Together Café is coming to Harewood House in !

We’re excited to be heading to Harewood House in Plympton from 7–11 September for a special Hearts Together pop-up café, and we’d love you to come along!

Whether you’re looking for a delicious cuppa and cake, want to support a local charity, or fancy finding out more about the work we do, we’d love to see you there.

We’re also looking for volunteers to help us make the week a success! Whether you can spare a few hours, a full day or multiple days, there’s a place for you on the team. 🎉 Six months of Sophie at Hearts Together!

Last month, Sophie, our wonderful operations manager, officially passed her six-month probation and we couldn’t be happier to celebrate this milestone!

Since joining Hearts Together, Sophie has made a real difference to both our team and our workplace culture. One of the strongest messages throughout the team’s feedback was the positive impact Sophie has had on the culture of Hearts Together, with colleagues describing an environment where, under Sophie’s leadership, they feel listened to, respected, supported, trusted and valued — five words that really stood out throughout the feedback.

Her leadership is a wonderful reflection of our values, with kindness, integrity and professionalism at the heart of everything she does.

And, of course, we had to mark the occasion with a photo with our chairman, Nigel!
