You may have seen that the Yorkshire Building Society in Plymouth generously donated £2000 to Horizons to help fund the great work we do with young people and people with disabilities in Plymouth – thank you!

On this glorious summery day we are delighted to have been awarded £2,000 by the Yorkshire Building Society Charitable Foundation. Thank you so much!
And an extra special thank you to the local Armada Way branch staff member who took the time to find out more about our work, and so kindly nominated Horizons Plymouth - Community for this award.

This weekend we provided safety cover the 4000 Nationals hosted by the Royal Western Yacht Club .

We thoroughly enjoy helping with events in the Port and hope that one day, maybe one of our Horizons youngsters will be competing in these regattas too! ⛵️

The ASF is delighted to announce that Horizons Children’s Sailing charity, based in Plymouth, is joining the Andrew Simpson Group.

Horizons Children's Sailing Charity and the Andrew Simpson Foundation are delighted to announce that Horizons (Plymouth) is joining the ASF Group as a sailing centre delivery partner.

This joining of forces will enable Horizons to secure its future, becoming more sustainable and ensuring the continuation of providing life changing opportunities through sailing and water-based activities, to the local community - now and for many years to come.

Richard Percy, ASF CEO, said: “We are really excited to work together to build an effective and supportive partnership with Horizons joining the ASF group as a local delivery partner for Plymouth.”

Kathy Impey, Horizons Partnerships and Funding Coordinator, said: “Horizons are really excited to have joined the Andrew Simpson Group as a local delivery partner for Plymouth. Together we will be able to provide more opportunities to make sailing and boating accessible for our local communities, and to improve people’s mental and physical wellbeing by getting them out on the water”.

Horizons had a fantastic day at the Plymouth Parent Carer Voice SEND conference this week. It was a really busy, positive day, and a great opportunity to spread the word about Horizons Plymouth - Community

Thank you to all of the amazing parents, young people, and professionals who came to talk to us and find out more about what we do. Hopefully some of you will be able to join us on the water soon!

A big thank you to our volunteers who came along to help at the Horizons stall, sharing information, and their experiences, with the many people we met.

And, of course, thank you so much to PPCV for putting on another great event this year.
