We are a group of like minded people sharing a love of fish. Meeting at the Hyde Park Social Club, Plymouth, on the first two Wednesdays every month at 8 o'clock. Boasting among it's members, well known names in the aquarium world, and many professionals whom have dedicated their lives to improving our understanding of the behaviour, care and conservation of our fish in the wild.

Have you thought about joining the club?
There's a monthly newsletter, quarterly magazine, auctions, fish shows, and a WhatsApp group so we can sort out problems or seek advice as needed.
We have guest speakers, with the likes of :

Ian Fuller (Corydoras God).
Dr Peter Burgess
Paul Naylor
John Rundel
Dr David Price
And more....

It's also £8 for a years membership, £10 for a family.
If it wasn't fir the support and knowledge from the club, I certainly wouldn't be the keeper and breeder I am today.
We neet at 7:45pm on the first two Wednesdays of the month.
We don't charge admission, so come and meet us.

“Tiny Fishes: the miniature marvels that slip through the net”, a new report by SHOAL aims to shine a light on miniature freshwater fishes that have been historically sidelined, even within a conservation sector already fighting for attention, and to celebrate them in their small, surprisingly complex glory.

The report features ten deep-dive profiles that highlight freshwater species with exceptional stories, unique evolutionary histories, and face very real threats. Painting a picture of the fragility of freshwater biodiversity, and how targeted conservation can make a huge difference, often in very little time.

Download the 52-page PDF report here - https://shoalconservation.org/tiny-fishes/

“These fishes deserve attention not because they are charming curiosities – though they are! – but because they are central to how freshwater ecosystems function, and because they are disappearing fast.”
