Reading Passport

Reading Passport Reading Passport is a project to inspire a love of literature and libraries in South West England.

Our themed reading lists invite people to discover new writing and to get passports signed for a chance to win a suitcase full of books. We set out in 2012 on a quest to spread the pleasure of reading. Our passport initiative encourages people across South West England to get to their local library to discover the literary treasures waiting on its shelves. Each year, Reading Passport sets a theme,

inviting library-goers to read books that meet certain criteria. Readers get their passport stamped, and have a chance to win a suitcase of new books. It’s a fun challenge, and takes participants on a journey of discovery, introducing them to literature they might not otherwise have read. Reading Passport is a partnership between South West Regional Library Service, Literature Works and the Royal Literary Fund. It is supported by Read South West, a consortium of South West Reading Development Librarians.
