Tamar Valley HEMA Tamar Valley Historical European Martial Arts are a club for like minded individuals who meet in the South West of England in the Tamar Valley area.

We were initially founded in 2013 by a group of individuals who had experience in Eastern Martial Arts, Medieval Reenactment and even LARP. We came together to explore the manuscripts of Sigmund Ringeck, one of Europe's most prolific medieval sword masters and the group grew from there. We now run workshops and seminars practising a myriad of styles including armoured fighting, bill block work and

dark age shield walls. The majority of our workshops involve the use of medieval longswords. Since our founding we have become part of the Independent Martial Arts Sporting Association. This means all our members are fully insured and provided with a martial arts licence. So if you live in the Tamar Valley Area and are looking to learn some HEMA from a fully qualified martial arts instructor we are the club for you.
