"I joined SHE Plymouth 2 years ago with just a tentative business idea. I had left my job, unable to manage my demanding work hours and care for my disabled daughter.

SHE has been instrumental in helping my set up and run my own business and in 2 years it went from an idea to a full-time business. The advice and supported from SHE has been incredible and all completely free, from one-to-one business advice to community and group support.

I feel so lucky I have been able to benefit from the project and I can now work and bring in an income and have the flexibility to support my daughter.

"Since discovering and becoming part of the SHE Plymouth Project in late 2024 my business and I have massively benefitted from the networking sessions, free trainings provided and a 1:1 with SHE Plymouth Business Advisor Jo Dench-Owens.

Starting a business on your own is pretty daunting. The support I’ve had from SHE Plymouth and the friends I’ve made in the SHE community have made the process seem less overwhelming.

I tell everyone I meet about SHE and how great it is - and the fantastic group of women I have met who are all realising their business dreams and visions.

We have just till the end of this week to reach our goal, and we're so close! Now we only have £750 to raise by the 23rd of January until we reach our goal of £25,000!

All donations will contribute towards our Crisis and Wellbeing services, such as our crisis foodbank, our face to face and Telephone befriending services, our Mental Health advisor services, and specialist signposting and referral services.
