Plymouth City Council has recently installed a (trial) swim platform/raft located just off Tinside Beach East.
The trial raft is due to be removed ahead of the Winter storms; however, as part of the Plymouth Sound National Marine Park, PCC plans to reinstate the existing raft (or one or two better located/designed rafts) in the Spring/Summer of 2022.
If you have used the raft it would be really appreciated if you could spend a few minutes completing the questionnaire below, so that PCC can better understand swimmers’/water users’ opinions on the trial swim raft and decide where best to locate any future raft(s) and/or improve on the current design. WARNING - Saturday 21st August & Sunday 22nd August - The Thundercats will be racing at West Hoe .
They will come over from Mountbatten at 10AM and start to race at 11AM so please keep out of the area.
East Tinside swim zone - please make sure you keep well within the swim buoys.
