📚❤️ HEARTWARMING HITS THE CLASSROOM! ❤️📚

Talk about community spirit! Pupils at Drake Primary Academy are getting a major upgrade to their reading and chill-out zones, thanks to a brilliant £800 donation from local volunteer heroes, Hearts & Smiles Together.

Working alongside the school's PTFA, the funds are being used to completely revamp the Key Stage 2 library and level up "calm spaces" across the school to support student wellbeing. 🧘✨

Here is what Assistant Headteacher Miss Jessica Plummer had to say about the brilliant news:

"This donation will make a real difference to our pupils. We have big plans for our key stage 2 library, and this money will help us to create a rich environment that promotes a love and passion for reading... Our many calm spaces around the school are incredibly important to us and our pupils, as they support wellbeing and provide a safe, supportive environment where they can reset and focus."

A spokesperson for Hearts & Smiles Together added: "Knowing the money will help improve spaces for children to read, learn and feel calm makes all the fundraising worthwhile."

A huge thank you to Hearts & Smiles Together!

Today, we had the pleasure of welcoming this wonderful Plymouth-based group to our office for a cuppa, after receiving their kind donation to Havencare. This gift will help fund our person-led support, empowering people to live the lives they choose.
